Rigidity before headline wattage
Aluminum cutting depends on the whole system: frame rigidity, spindle runout, tooling, workholding, chip evacuation and feeds. A material name on a product page does not establish production throughput.
Automation versus flexibility
Enclosed systems reduce setup friction and contain chips, while open routers expose more of the machine for upgrades and larger fixtures. Add tooling, workholding and extraction to the comparison price.
